At a press conference in Lucky Garden, Bangsar, yesterday, Arul said the videos were “very well made” but based on information from the US Department of Justice’s (DoJ) civil lawsuit.
“As you all know, that lawsuit has yet to go to court. There’s not yet been any trial, there’s not yet been any defence, and there’s not yet been a court decision.
“So I feel it is wrong for YB Tony Pua to use information like that without giving the appropriate clarification. He’s misleading the people.”
Arul also asked why Pua had not made a similar video about Lim’s bungalow scandal.
“Tony Pua is being a hypocrite and applying double standards because really, if he applies that same logic to the DoJ lawsuit which has not yet gone to court, he should use that same logic and make a video on the Lim Guan Eng case,” he said.
He added however that the videos had made him smile, and that Pua had a career as a comedian.
“His comical capers are very, very good. I actually laughed when I saw those videos. He should get an Emmy award for that.”
