KUALA LUMPUR:
PAS yesterday dismissed a claim that the late Fadzil Muhammad Noor, who was once the party president, had been Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s adviser on religion.

PAS central committee member and spokesman for the Gagasan Sejahtera group, Kamarulzaman Mohamad, said what Mahathir said was contrary to what had actually happened.

“We dismiss the statement by Tun (Dr) Mahathir that the late Fadzil had ever been the adviser on religion to him,” he said at a press conference here.

Mahathir, who is chairman of Pakatan Harapan, had reportedly said that Fadzil had been his adviser on religion before becoming active in politics.
