TELUK INTAN:
BN’s Teluk Intan incumbent Mah Siew Keong has lodged a police report against Perak DAP chief Nga Kor Ming following the latter’s demand that he should confirm whether he had ever applied to live in Australia.

The Gerakan president denied that he had permanent resident status in Australia.

“I want to clarify that I am not a permanent resident and have never applied for permanent residence in Australia or any other country.

“Teluk Intan will always be my home,” Mah said, adding that Nga’s questions over his citizenship status were malicious and meant to tarnish his reputation.

Mah also questioned why Nga was raising the issue just a few days before polling day.

“Questioning my citizenship status, my loyalty towards the king and the country and commitment towards Teluk Intan is malicious, especially during the last hours of the campaign period,” he said.

Mah also urged Nga against resorting to personal attacks to defeat rivals in the election.

He said Nga should not lower his principles and should refrain from using dirty tactics to make others look bad.
