
The newspaper has a publishing permit only for circulation to its members, but copies were being sold openly at news vendors and shops.
“I got a copy of the newspaper at the vendor and shop.
“The home ministry (KDN) will take action after the general election,” he said here today. “They will not escape action.”
Zahid said the newspaper often published defamatory articles, lies and false news about the government and Barisan Nasional.
“Thank you for the defamation. Please continue the effort, “he said sarcastically.
Zahid also spoke about a police report filed by DAP member Amran Ahmad Nor, an assistant producer with DAP’s UbahTV website.
He said Amran’s disclosure about DAP’s publicity effort “proves they are willing to do anything and slander out of desperation”.
Amran had alleged that DAP had prepared dozens of leaflets and videos containing “malicious and defamatory propaganda” for distribution for the general election campaign.
Zahid said the “hate culture” should not be propagated and politics in Malaysia needs to mature.
