Khairy, who is defending his Rembau parliamentary seat, accused PH of abandoning all its principles.
“As long as Daim supports them, all his past mistakes and faults are forgiven and forgotten.
“If PH accepts supporters like this, it no longer has any credibility,” he told reporters before a walkabout at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Tuanku Jaafar.
Since several days ago, Daim has been actively campaigning for PH candidates in various constituencies, and even accompanied PH chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Pekan where Prime Minister Najib Razak is seeking re-election.
However, Khairy said the presence of Daim, and his former cabinet colleagues Rafidah Aziz and Rais Yatim, in the PH campaign would have little effect on Barisan Nasional’s chances in the election.
“More and more voters have already made up their minds as the polling day approaches. There are fewer fence-sitters. I don’t think there is much impact,” he said.
