
The international trade and industry minister II will be replaced by Perak MCA chief Mah Hang Soon.
Other notable omissions are Trong assemblyman Zabri Abd Wahid, Parit MP Zaim Abu Hasan and Kampung Gajah assemblyman Abdullah Fauzi Ahmad Razali.
The line-up featured many new faces including Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang who will contest the Taiping seat.
It was announced that Perak BN has dropped eight incumbents for the coming polls. This means there will be 54.3% new faces for state seats and 29% for parliamentary seats.
The youth secured 30.5% of the state seats and 16.6% of the parliamentary seats.
Perak BN has also included 13 women candidates: 10 for state seats and three for parliamentary constituencies.
Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Kadir is contesting the Lumut parliamentary and Pangkor state seats, while Umno heavyweights, acting deputy president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Supreme Council member Nazri Aziz, will defend Bagan Datuk and Padang Rengas respectively.
