Beware ‘hate campaign’ in GE14, warns Salleh

The minister says it is normal to campaign fiercely during election period but warns the people against going to extremes.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak has reminded the people not to go to extremes during the campaign period for the coming election.

He said although it was normal to campaign fiercely during election period, the campaign of “hate” adopted by some was very dangerous.

“The hate campaign that some are adopting is very dangerous because when the election is over, the hate remains and does not go away,” he said on Twitter last night.

The Election Commission has fixed May 9 as polling day with April 28 for nomination and May 5 for early voting.
