
Ten flights, with a total of 1,620 seats, are to Peninsular destinations, including Penang and Kota Baru, and 16 flights, with 2,592 seats, have been added to Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
In a statement reported by Malaysian Reserve, the airline said it would have further information closer to polling day, May 9. Last week, the company announced ticket waivers for changes to all tickets including those with date restrictions.
Malaysia Airlines has announced an additional 40 flights and an upgrade of 10 flights to wide-body services from May 5-10, and waived flight-change fees.
AirAsia has announced set fares from May 8-10 at RM99 within the Peninsula, RM129 for flights to Sarawak and RM199 to Sabah. The fares are for a one-way journey. Unsold seats on the day before and after polling day would be frozen and sold at the lower fares.
