KOTA KINABALU:
Members of the Sabah Farmers’ Organisation (PPNS) will vote for Barisan Nasional (BN), its chairman Mohd Nazri Abdullah said today.

“This is the pledge made by PPNS members because we remember the contributions made by the BN government to enhance the wellbeing of the rakyat, including farmers,” he said in a statement.

“There’s no other government that has worked hard to improve the income of the people, including farmers.

“BN is the only government which prioritises the needs of the rakyat and wants to see the people progress and proper,” he said during the 15th AGM of the organisation’s Sandakan branch.

The AGM was attended by Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman.

Nazri, who is also deputy chairman of the National Farmers’ Organisation (Nafas), said the body appreciated the federal government’s support, including the one-time allocation of RM30,000 to each area farmers organisation (PPK) and area fishermen’s organisation, involving a total budget of RM7 million.
