Amanah to contest in one parliamentary, three state seats in Penang

Penang Amanah chief Mujahid Yusof Rawa says all candidates have been working in their respective constituencies.

PETALING JAYA:
Amanah youth deputy chief Faiz Fadzil will contest the Permatang Pasir state seat in Penang.

The seat was held by Mohd Salleh Man of PAS who, however, has not been nominated to contest again.

Faiz, the son of former PAS president Fadzil Noor, was in the Islamist party before moving to Amanah.

Penang Amanah chief Mujahid Yusof Rawa also announced, after a ceramah in Taman Desa Murni, Sungai Dua, last night, that lawyer Yusri Ishak would vie for the Sungai Dua state seat on the mainland.

He said Penang Amanah youth vice-charman Azrul Mahathir Aziz would contest the state seat of Bayan Lepas while paediatrician Dr Zaidi Zakaria would vie for the Kepala Batas parliamentary seat, probably against incumbent Reezal Merican Naina Merican of the Barisan Nasional.

Mujahid said all candidates had been working hard in their respective constituencies.
