The Mobile Youth Transformation Vocational Programme was launched in Kota Belud, Sabah.
KOTA KINABALU:
Prime Minister Najib Razak is a pro-youth leader while the opposition has no vision for this section of society, said federal Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Maximus Ongkili.

Ongkili said various programmes have been specially designed by the government, ranging from educational to motivational subjects, to cater to the needs of today’s youths and train them as future leaders.

“All these are possible thanks to Prime Minister Najib Razak’s soft heart for youths,” he said in a statement today.

“He is pro-youth and this is obvious through his participation in programmes involving the young such as Transformasi Negara 50 (TN50), Mobile Outreach Programme (MOP) and Mobile Community Transformation Centre (MCTC).”

Speaking when launching the Mobile Youth Transformation Vocational Programme in Kota Belud district today, Ongkili called on youths to take advantage of such courses to gain useful skills.

“It is not often that such programmes come knocking on our door. When that happens, grab the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge,” said the Kota Marudu MP.

“The opposition has no such programmes for the youths of today because they are void of creativity and vision of the future.

“They are just busy trying to unseat the Barisan Nasional (BN) government in their craze to take over Putrajaya.”

A total of 119 youths took part in the two-day programme where they were exposed to cosmetic, carpentry, piping, wiring, culinary and agricultural skills.

Present during the event was Sabah Assistant Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Anita Baranting.
