The incident, which was filmed by a bystander, is said to have occurred just before 11pm at Jalan PJU5/10 involving a Mercedes Benz and a Perodua Bezza, with the smaller car being literally “pushed back” though not in the wrong.
From the video it is clearly visible that the driver of the Mercedes Benz was going the wrong way of a one-way road and the Bezza was already headed the right way down the same road.
Both cars came to a standstill and did not budge. But from the reaction of the driver of the more expensive vehicle, witnesses could see that he was not willing to reverse despite being in the wrong.
According to a report in the New Straits Times, the driver of the Mercedes is a 36-year-old from Taman Tun Dr Ismail. He is seen trying to intimidate the Bezza driver, inching his car slowly towards the other car, with the high beam on.

Voices in the background of the video, believed to be of other bystanders and diners at an outdoor food outlet nearby, suggest that everyone knew the Mercedes Benz was moving “the wrong way”.
Yet, it did not bother him and the Bezza driver finally relented and started reversing. Despite that, from the video, it can be seen that the Mercedes Benz driver impatiently hits the Bezza and literally tries to “push” it out of the way.
With the road still being congested, some onlookers could be seen approaching the Bezza driver to give some advice, while others went to the driver-side window of the Mercedes Benz, even though the car was tinted and there was no visibility of the inside.
According to Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Sin, the Bezza driver, aged 26, lodged a report at the Kota Damansara police station on Friday morning.
“The driver of the Mercedes Benz committed an offence by driving (the wrong way on) a one-way road and deliberately driving his car into the victim’s car bumper,” Zani told NST.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief; and Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1982 for reckless and dangerous driving.
