
MACC deputy chief commissioner (Operations) Azam Baki, when met by reporters, said the individual was not an Umno MP (Abdul Azeez Rahim).
Asked if Umno politicians would be called in to assist investigation in the case, Azam said that depended on the investigations.

Earlier, an Umno politician denied allegations made against him on the undersea tunnel project in Penang and said he was prepared to be investigated by MACC.
Yesterday, a businessman was remanded for six days. He was believed to have received bribes amounting to RM19 million to close the case on investigations into the project in Penang.
The businessman was believed to have received the money from the project’s main construction company after claiming he was able to settle the investigation conducted by MACC.
