HBS chief marketing and communications officer Brian C Kenny told The Malaysian Reserve (TMR) in an email that the “HBS Malaysia Competing on Business Analytics and Big Data” programme, carried out with the Center of Applied Data Science (The CADS), was its only programme in Kuala Lumpur.
He added however that The CADS was planning to enter into an agreement with HBS’ digital platform, HBX, to make the HBX Credential of Readiness (CORe) programme available to Malaysian and Asean audiences.
Kenny was responding to an earlier report by TMR which quoted sources as saying HBS had chosen Malaysia to host its third overseas campus outside the US.
The sources told the business daily that HBS had recently reached an understanding on the matter with the Malaysian government.
They added that Prime Minister Najib Razak was expected to make an official announcement on the matter.
HBS, the graduate business school of Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, has two overseas campuses in Shanghai, China, and Mumbai, India.
It offers a large full-time master of business administration programme, doctoral programmes and various executive education programmes.
