The order was made by Magistrate Cindy McJuce Balitus. The men, aged 36 and 38, were the sixth and seventh suspects in the case, under Section 17 (a) of the MACC Act 2009.
When met by reporters outside the courtroom, MACC prosecuting officer Mohd Faliq Basirudin said the men were picked up from their office in Tanjung Aru and were subsequently arrested about 9pm.
Faliq also said that four individuals, including a deputy director of the State Railway Department and a contractor, were released on bail today.
He said the contractor was released on a RM100,000 bail with a RM20,000 deposit and the deputy director was released on a RM100,000 bail without any deposit.
The other two were released on bail of RM100,000 and RM50,000, without deposits.
All four were arrested on Jan 22. They were each allowed bail with two sureties and ordered to report to the MACC office once a month.
The fifth suspect in the case is a 60-year-old contractor who was arrested on Jan 27. His remand order ends tomorrow.
The three suspects who are employees of the State Railway Department were believed to have received more than RM3 million from the contractor since 2011.
MACC also said that some RM1.6 million had been seized and RM5.3 million in several bank accounts had been frozen.
