Contractor remanded for ‘rude’ FB remarks against MB Ahmad Razif

She is also being investigated for a crude comment made against the MB in a private group on WhatsApp.

KUALA TERENGGANU: A 45-year-old female contractor was remanded for three days from today to assist investigations into alleged rude remarks made by her against Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman via social media.

The remand order was granted by the Kuala Terengganu Lower Court senior assistant registrar Noradila Abd Latif.

The contractor, represented by lawyer Che Muhammad Amir, is being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Commission Act for leaving behind the comment “MB Bengong” on the Facebook page of “Gabungan Anak Terengganu”.

The woman is also being investigated for a crude comment made against Razif in a private group on WhatsApp, of which a screenshot had been taken.

A total of 30 police reports have been filed against the woman following the two statements made by her.
