“The man was detained after he surrendered at the district police headquarters,” Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said.
He said the suspect would be remanded tomorrow, The Star Online reported.
Zani said police acted on a report lodged by residents of an apartment block in Damansara Perdana, after they came across the man dressed as a “suicide bomber” for a Halloween costume party on Oct 28.
He said the man was being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
Halloween is a celebration observed in a number of Western countries on Oct 31. Party-goers would usually wear costumes modelled after supernatural figures such as vampires, monsters, ghosts, skeletons, witches and devils.
