KUALA LUMPUR:
Fire and Rescue personnel recovered two bodies today from a diesel tank that exploded yesterday at a cement factory in Rawang.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said the bodies had been identified as those of Zamri Adenan, 35, and Mohd Ziehafizan Abd Rahman, 28.

Zamri’s body was recovered at 4.30pm and Mohd Ziehafizan’s at 2.50pm, he said when contacted.

He also said personnel were looking for another individual, identified as T Baskaran, 49.

The three men were undertaking maintenance work on the 4.26-metre-high tanker when the explosion occurred at about 4pm, causing them to fall into the tank, he said.

He said over 725,000 litres of diesel had to be drained from the tank in the search for the three men.
