Putrajaya to sell off plane at RM38 million reserve price

The tender for the Boeing Business Jet 737-700 is open to any company registered in Malaysia or individual citizen of the country.

PETALING JAYA: The government yesterday called for bids on its Boeing Business Jet 737-700 executive aircraft which has been assigned to be disposed of at a reserve price of RM38 million.

Abd Khadir Hassan, an officer in the defence ministry’s management services section, confirmed that a tender process had been opened.

“The advertising started yesterday. Right now we are waiting for the tender briefing to take place,” he told FMT when contacted on the phone number listed in an advertising notice.

He added that further details would be provided during the briefing scheduled for Nov 9 at the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Subang.

According to the advertisement, the tender is open to any company registered in Malaysia or individual citizen of Malaysia.

The document for the process would also be available from Nov 10 at Wisma Pertahanan, the ministry’s headquarters at Jalan Padang Tembak in Kuala Lumpur.

All bids must be placed into a tender box at Menara TH Selborn in Jalan Tun Razak, KL, and bidders must produce a site visit certificate when purchasing the document.

The tender period ends on Nov 20.
