Prime Minister Najib Razak today tabled the 2018 Budget with a total allocation of RM280.25 billion, RM20 billion more than last year’s.
However, Azmin questioned the 84% increase in the administrative budget, against a development budget of only 16%.
“Again, I would like to invite him to see Selangor’s budget. We successfully increased the development expenditure to over 53%,” he said.
Meanwhile, Azmin welcomed the abolition of the Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau highway tolls, and said, “After a few years of tussling, today the federal government has to concede to the people of Selangor. It is a victory for Selangorians.”
