Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said Taman Sri Bunga Sdn Bhd (TSB) had been given a week to provide a status update to all buyers.
“By meeting them, (hopefully) a solution will be met with buyers. I give them a week to resolve all matters related to purchasers, or else the state government will interfere.
“This is because the Penang government is always on the buyers’ side,” he said at a press conference in Komtar today.
Lim said the proposed State Commission of Inquiry would bring justice for the 11 construction workers who died in the incident, adding that he hoped those responsible would be punished accordingly.
Yesterday, buyers said they were thinking twice following the landslide which occurred on Oct 21.
Citing concerns regarding safety and even feng shui, several buyers met by theSun daily said they might want their money back.
Others however said they would stick to their purchases.
Units at the two-block, 49-storey affordable condominium project are priced from RM400,000 onwards.
In a statement yesterday, TSB vowed to find the cause of the landslide and said it would cooperate with all investigating authorities.
