However a Red Shirts supporter was spotted driving past the venue, drawing jeers from the crowd.
Jamal had previously vowed to bring 10 tonnes of fish to sell at RM5 per kilogramme as he wanted to take advantage of the large crowds that turned up for the rally.

However, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Noor Rashid Ibrahim warned Jamal a couple of days ago that action could be taken against him under local authority regulations if he pursued his plans.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued later, Jamal explained he did not show up at the rally today after pressure from the authorities that he avoid the area altogether.
He also hinted that he did not want to be locked-up again.
Jamal was arrested earlier this month and spent two nights in a lock-up after his beer-smashing stunt outside the Selangor state government office to protest the Better Beer Festival 2017.
