
Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie made the order, effective today, following an application by the MACC.
Also remanded for five days in connection with the case was local businessman Yu Sin Kong.
The duo arrived at the court premises in handcuffs and clad in orange T-shirts with the word “Lokap” emblazoned on them. They were taken directly into Stephanie’s chambers by MACC officers.
More than 150 people gathered at the court house to lend support to Peter.
Peter was represented by Martin Tommy, Loretto Padua Jr and Cedric Choo while Edward Paul appeared for Yu.
Peter was detained after presenting himself at the MACC office on Thursday to have his statement taken.
