Malaysia Airlines flight turned back to London after passenger swallowed blades

Flight #MH3 flight bound for KL from London was forced to return to Heathrow Airport after the pilot was informed of a medical emergency on board the flight.

A publication in the UK has reported that Malaysia Airlines flight #MH3 bound for Kuala Lumpur from London, was forced to return to Heathrow Airport after the pilot was informed that a passenger on board the flight had swallowed a number of razor blades.

According to News In Flight, Malaysia Airlines A380 Reg #9M-MND was flying over Germany on Friday when the captain was informed of the medical emergency and decided to return to London.

“The captain made the decision to turn back to London’s Heathrow Airport for medical assistance,” the airlines said in a statement issued.

The airline said the Airbus 380 landed at Heathrow safely at 8.10pm Malaysian time and a team of paramedics were on standby to attend to the affected passenger upon arrival.

When contacted, a MAS spokesperson confirmed that the flight had indeed turned back.

“As for the incident, it is for the authorities in London to confirm,” the spokesperson said , referring to the report that a passenger on board the flight has swallowed razor blades.
