Butcher slashed to death by parang-wielding man

A suspect, in his 40s, has since been detained and is being investigated for murder.

PETALING JAYA: A 39-year-old butcher in Segamat was slashed to death by a parang-wielding man this morning as he was busy preparing beef to sell for Hari Raya Aidil Adha.

According to The Star Online, the victim, identified as Ahmad Radzi Jamaludin, was attacked at about 7.30am.

The victim’s sister, Shabariah Jamaludin, said Ahmad Radzi was slashed on his left hand and neck.

“An unknown man in his 40s approached on a motorcycle and suddenly attacked him from the back.

“Relatives rushed him to a nearby clinic but he died before he could receive treatment,” the portal quoted her as saying.

Segamat OCPD Supt Raub Selamat said a suspect was arrested and the case was being investigated for murder.
