In a statement yesterday, the finance ministry said the payment for those who passed the appeal stage, however, would be made on Aug 29.
“It is hoped that the BR1M payment will help the people to make preparations to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha,” the ministry said.
The ministry said the BR1M payment will be credited directly to the recipients’ accounts, but those who do not have a bank account, a letter of approval will be sent to their address in order for them to present it at any Bank Simpanan Nasional branch for cash.
