Wong said questions were asked to discover the facts.
“Imagine Musa telling every student, police and MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) officer and scientist in this country not to raise questions before the facts are established.
“Why the defensive and evasive mode if he really has nothing to hide?” he told FMT.
Wong, who is the Likas assemblyman, reminded Musa that as an elected member representing Sabahans, he was obliged to answer questions and not analyse them or suspect the motive of the person asking the questions.
He was responding to Musa’s statement at a press conference at the end of the assembly’s sitting yesterday that the opposition should ensure their questions were based on facts.
Musa had said the government was transparent concerning issues raised in the assembly.
“I am a bit disappointed that some of the opposition assemblymen tried to exploit or twist some of the facts even though we have given clear explanations to their questions,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
“They (the opposition) would usually say that they hear this and that but (hearsay) is not the truth.
“And these (answers) are all facts which prove that the government has been doing the best for the people and the state. So, I advised the opposition to only ask questions based on facts, instead of for the sake of asking them.”
