
The three directors Nik Azman Mohd Zain, Omar Salim and Nur Ehsanuddin Mohd Harun Narrashid came to the MACC headquarters here separately.
Today marks the third time Nik Azman has been called in to assist the investigation over this particular case.
Nur Ehsanuddin, who is also Kota Tinggi MP, claimed that MACC only asked a “few questions” with regards to the purchase of the luxury hotel in London.
FIC was said to have acquired a four-star hotel between 2013 and 2015 in London’s upmarket Kensington area for a total of RM330 million, which at the time was believed to be more than its actual value of RM110 million.
The anti-graft agency had also commenced an investigation into the purchase of a hotel in Kuching, Sarawak following information received by the investigating team while probing the purchase of the hotel in London by FIC.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Mohd Azam Baki had previously said that nine individuals had been detained and more than 30 witnesses called for questioning in connection with the purchase of the two hotels.
