IPOH: Police have detained a suspect following a report lodged by a woman who claimed that a relative had forced her two sons to watch a pornographic video on a mobile phone and then imitate the sex acts at her house in Sungai Buloh, Sungai Siput, about 50 kilometres from here.

The suspect is now in remand for four days to facilitate investigations under Section 14(b) and 15 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Perak Criminal Investigation Department chief Gan Tian Kee said the woman lodged the report yesterday morning, claiming that her 29-year-old cousin showed the video to the two boys, aged nine and 10, last week.

He said the woman also claimed the suspect, who is a 29-year-old Civil Defence Force contract staff, allegedly asked the boys to perform the sex acts in a room at the house.

“After the incident, the victims were given RM4 so as to not reveal the matter to their parents,” Gan said in a statement here today.

The two boys were sent to a hospital for a medical examination, he added.
