It quoted Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg as saying he had no comment on the matter at the moment.
He was asked what he would do with the BN-friendly parties in GE14. Their members had stood as candidates in the last state elections, and the winners are with BN.
Abang Johari was quoted as saying: “I don’t want to comment on that…election is still a long way to go.”
He was approached by reporters after attending Yayasan Sarawak’s Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri celebration at Wisma Adenan yesterday.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Dr James Jemut Masing, when asked to comment on several individuals going around some constituencies claiming they had been chosen by party leaders to be BN candidates in GE14, said they could not make such claims.
“Whenever an election approaches, a lot of people will claim that they have the authority to say this and that. A lot of these are speculations.
“It is best to listen to heads of political parties because what they say is more credible information,” Masing, who is also PRS president, was quoted as saying by The Borneo Post.
