
He dispelled talk that the opposition parties were not ready to face GE14 but said whatever issues plaguing the coalition would be straightened out in time for the general election.
“I am worried also but give us some time.
“We will straighten it up and get ready for GE14,” said Lim after a book-signing ceremony at 1Utama Shopping Centre today for a comic book revolving around his life.
“If you recall, in 2008, we were even less ready but yet we won in five states and denied BN a two-thirds majority in Parliament for the first time.
“I am still optimistic because I think we are not looking at a 2008 tsunami here; we are looking at a Malaysian tsunami,” he said without elaborating.
Lim said the BN government should address the major economic issues facing the country.
He said when Dr Mahathir Mohamad was prime minister, the country had prospered without the necessity to impose the goods and services tax (GST).
He said the government should do away with GST.
