LUMUT: Perak civil servants will receive special assistance of RM500 each tomorrow in conjunction with Aidilfitri celebrations, says Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir.
He said a total of 15,000 civil servants would receive the special aid that involved an allocation of RM5.6 million.
“The assistance is similar to the one we gave last year when we opted to implement what the federal government was doing for civil servants,” he said after the “Ziarah Kasih Al Mubarak” programme for the Lumut parliamentary constituency in Pangkor Island today.
He said the special assistance would be given to permanent employees and those on contract as well as those working on a part-time basis, including in the local authorities and state statutory bodies.
Recently, the federal government announced a special Aidilfitri handout of RM500 for civil servants.
