Mohd Haidar@Hasmayudin Mohd Hashim, 45, claimed trial after the charge was read out to him before judge Zulqarnain Hassan.

The payment was to Noraini Shikh Muhamud Bohari for the sale of Noraini’s property as in the sale and purchase agreement dated Jan 8, 2016.

The offence was allegedly committed at his legal firm at No. 2-2 Tower 3, Bangsar Avenue 3, Jalan Kerinchi, here, between May 9, 2016 and July 1, 2016.

Deputy public prosecutor Kamarul Aris Kamalluddin appeared for the prosecution while Haidar represented himself and also posted bail.
