PETALING JAYA: A fire broke out at a shop in Mid Valley Megamall tonight after a fax machine there caught fire.
According to The New Straits Times, the incident took place around 8.30pm.
The fire brigade was immediately alerted and arrived at the scene within 10 minutes.
“The department was alerted when we received a distress call from the public after the fire alarm at the shopping mall was sounded,” Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department director Khirudin Drahman said in the report.
He said the fire started in a room of a shop on the third floor and was immediately brought under control.
No casualties were reported, NST said.
