KUALA LUMPUR:
Come April 8, passport counters nationwide will be closed to enable the upgrading of the Malaysian Immigration System (myIMMS).

The Immigration Department, in a statement here, said the passport counters at the department’s headquarters and branches in the Urban Transformation Centres and the Rural Transformation Centres would be closed from 12am to 11.59pm.

“For the record, the upgrading of the Immigration Department aims to improve the quality of access to the Immigration Department’s main system.

“In this regard, during the time the work is being carried out, access to the myIMMS system will be disrupted,” the statement said.
