
Zahid, who is also home minister, said the government had left it to Interpol to assess and manage the issue.
“I think the president of Interpol, who is also deputy Interior minister of China, Meng Hongwei, will direct the executive director of Interpol, Jargon Stock, to address the issue (based on the standard operating procedure agreed among countries requesting information and action based on mutual legal assistance from a member country of Interpol),” he said.
Zahid was speaking to reporters after the joint opening of the meetings of Umno and its Women, Youth, and Puteri wings in the Kota Marudu Umno division here today.
