GEORGE TOWN: A dead foetus was found trapped in a sewage pond next to an apartment complex in Batu Maung today, police revealed.
Southwest district police chief Supt Anuar Omar said an Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) staff alerted police at 12.15pm after finding the stillborn baby boy at a sewage pond trap.
The foetus was trapped against metal bars along with other discarded trash floating in the dirty water.
The boy’s body will be taken to the Balik Pulau Hospital for a post-mortem.
