In a statement released today, Tatiana related how she received a legal letter from Meridian Surf Sdn Bhd on March 3 informing her that she had breached the agreement she entered into when she participated in the Miss Malaysia World 2016 contest.
The letter said that as a consequence of the alleged breaches, the agreement with Meridian Surf had been terminated resulting in her having to forgo her title as well.
Meridian Surf belongs to Anna Lin, the national director and licensee for Miss Malaysia World 2016, who also alleged in several posts on social media that Tatiana had breached the code of conduct as stipulated in the agreement.
“The termination of the Agreement and the removal of my title are wrongful and wholly unjustified, as I have certainly not breached the Agreement or any so-called Code of Conduct,” Tatiana said.
She also said the allegations made against her were “wholly false and unacceptable” as she had conducted herself appropriately throughout the entire competition.
“I am very upset and disappointed with these allegations as I have conducted myself with utmost professionalism as Miss Malaysia World 2016 to-date.”
She also said that since she was seeking legal redress, she had been advised against making any further public statements about her case.
In her statement, Tatiana thanked the public for their tremendous support thus far and hoped they would continue to support her.
Tatiana, of Malaysian-French parentage, was crowned Miss Malaysia World 2016 in August last year and represented Malaysia on the world stage in the finals in December in Maryland, US.
