
He said the 1,200-hectare Lembah Chuping would transform the economic landscape, especially Perlis, once it is fully developed.
“Among the proposed projects is the Perlis inland port to be developed on an area of 200 hectares,” he said at the China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia first anniversary and Chinese New Year celebration here last night.
He said it would also focus on developing the Malaysia-Thailand border areas, including logistics, green energy, green processing and waste management sectors.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin was confident the setting up of the association a year ago would also further enhance the economic cooperation between Malaysia and China.
Also present were Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajjah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil as well as MCA president Liow Tiong Lai, who is also Transport Minister, and the association president Keith Li.
