Usim deputy vice-chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) Prof Dr Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan said the university had yet to receive an official announcement from PTPTN on any delay of loan disbursement to students, as it was only reported in the media.
“But we take the matter seriously and will be understanding of students affected by a delay in loan disbursement.
“Similarly the university will also consider payment deferment for tuition, accommodation, examination and other fees for the affected students until PTPTN makes payment into their accounts,” he said in a statement here today.
Nonetheless, he said, Usim hoped PTPTN would consider the welfare of students by expediting the loan disbursement.
