PETALING JAYA:
A motorcyclist and a motorist had a close shave when a lorry collided into them while they were refuelling at a petrol station located on the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway on Monday night, The Borneo Post reported.

Video footage obtained from the station’s security cameras showed the two men in the midst of refuelling their vehicles on either side of a petrol kiosk at the station when the lorry, which was refuelling at the next kiosk, suddenly lurched forward, colliding into both men and knocking down the kiosk.

It is believed the pair suffered minor scrapes from the incident, although the motorist’s car sustained rear damage after being rammed by the out-of-control lorry, according to the daily.

The video footage, which went viral on social media, showed both men picking themselves up after the 7.30pm incident.

Netizens are speculating that the lorry driver may have mistakenly stepped on the accelerator. However, the actual cause of the incident still remains unclear.

It is also unclear as to the extent of damage the petrol station had suffered.
