Accepting the guilty verdict, the Magistrate’s Court in Kota Kinabalu yesterday sentenced 18-year-old Faizal Sintaan to three years’ jail and three strokes of the rotan.

According to the fact sheet, the man had fondled the 18-year-old’s breasts as well as her private part, besides kissing and leaving marks on her neck, at a massage parlour located in a shopping complex in the Sabah capital last Wednesday.

The statement read out in court also mentioned that the victim did not shout for help as she was frightened but eventually managed to push away the masseur.

The British teen still made payment at the counter but lodged a police report after informing her parents about the incident, the daily reported.

Meanwhile, the Sessions Court also sentenced him to four years’ jail under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for failing to produce travel documents and an identity card.

According to NST, both sentences will be carried out separately starting with the imprisonment under the Immigration Act.
