TELUK INTAN:
A woman is believed to have plotted with her lover, a Nepali, to kill her husband in their own home last Friday.

Hilir Perak district police chief ACP Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad said the 30-year-old woman went to the Hutan Melintang police station in Bagan Datoh to lodge a report.

According to the woman, her husband, a lorry driver, was found lying in a pool of blood in the living room of their home in Kampung Mutiara, Batu 10, Jalan Hutan Melintang, here.

“Investigations found that the man, in his 40s, was killed after he was hit in the back of his head with a blunt object, believed to be a hammer,” he said in a statement here today.

After investigations were carried out, Wan Hassan said police detained the woman on the day of the incident to help in the investigations.

The lover and her brother, 31, were detained the next day.

“When questioned, the two suspects confessed to killing the victim and we also found the items connected to the murder case.

“The motive for the murder is believed to be a love triangle involving the victim’s wife and the Nepali man,” he said, adding he believed the case had been successfully solved.

He added that all the suspects were remanded for seven days, beginning yesterday, under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Wan Hassan also urged anyone with information relating to the case to contact the police at tel: 05-6299222 to help in the investigations.
