According to NST Online, Khaled had chided the DAP for not supporting the state’s development agenda and warned them against putting Johor’s development projects in a bad light.

“DAP and its agendas are unsuitable with the aspiration of Bangsa Johor and Muafakat Johor. This is definitely against the Progressive Johor Agenda,” said Khaled.

Tan Hong Pin (DAP-Mengkibol) tried to interject but was stopped by assembly speaker Mohamad Aziz.

Khaled then continued with his speech, which questioned the calibre of the party over its policies in Penang.

At this point, Dr Boo Cheng Hau (DAP-Skudai) stood up, bowed, and left the state assembly hall. He returned after several minutes and later told a press conference he had merely needed to “go to the toilet”.

Wong Shu Qi (DAP-Senai) also stood up during Khaled’s speech to deny that DAP was guilty of racial polarisation, saying: “We stand for all Malaysians.”

Yeo Tung Siong (DAP-Pekan Nanas) and Chew Peck Choo (DAP-Yong Peng) also added their voices to the protest, causing several Barisan Nasional representatives to also rise and urge their DAP colleagues to stand down and obey Khaled’s directives.
