Police made the discovery when the victim’s 26-year-old mother informed them of the boy’s body after her four-year-old daughter was sent to hospital for treatment for alleged abuse.
Meanwhile, in Pendang, Kedah executive council member, Suraya Yaacob said the Social Welfare Department was prepared to hand over the four-year-old girl to her grandmother if the woman could take care of the child.
She said that if possible, the Social Welfare Department did not want to take over guardianship of the child as she still had her next-of-kin and family.
