PETALING JAYA: The toddler who fell from an escalator at a shopping mall in Penang in October was discharged after being warded at the Penang Hospital for more than a month.

Timur Laut police chief Asst Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, however, said the three-year-old girl, Nur Akilah Amani Zuraimi Hashim, is still drinking milk through a tube.

The girl suffered serious injuries after she fell off from her father’s shoulders while they were on the escalator on the first level of the Bukit Jambul shopping mall. The incident was recorded on closed-circuit television camera (CCTV).

She was treated at the intensive care unit for internal bleeding in her head and a cracked skull.
