Bersih arrests: Hishammuddin Rais makes it 15

Activist being held for investigations for rioting, 14 others also detained

Bersih activist Hishammuddin Rais was arrested by police in Bangsar Utama this morning, making the total number of people arrested to 15 so far.

City CID chief Rusdi Mohd Isa said Hishammuddin was arrested to assist investigations on rioting.

Earlier today, police named 14 others who have been arrested, including Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah and the leader of the Red Shirt movement, Jamal Md Yunus.

Tens of thousands of people gathered in the streets of the city centre today for rival rallies by Bersih and the Red Shirt movement.
