PETALING JAYA:
Bersih 2.0 has no right to speak as the people’s representative as it is an illegal and unregistered organisation, says Red Shirts leader Jamal Yunos.

The Sungai Besar Umno division chief was responding to the news of the multiple arrests today, as well as the raid on the Bersih 2.0 office.

Jamal lauded the arrest of Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah and secretariat manager Mandeep Singh, saying it was for the sake of the nation’s peace.

“Bersih has an evil agenda to incite the people to topple the government led by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who was democratically elected,” Jamal said.

He also questioned how some Malays had fallen for Bersih’s “filthy agenda”, saying that Bersih was led by DAP, which he called “racist” and “anti-Muslim-Malay”, and that Bersih was funded by foreign parties, including billionaire George Soros.

“If Bersih is truly a free organisation, they should make the same demands of several opposition leaders in the party, led by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who has been charged with abuse of power,” Jamal said.

“I call on all Malaysians to reject Bersih 5, which is clearly irrelevant and aimed at disturbing the peace around the capital city.

“The Red Shirts will ensure Bersih 5 fails in its demonstration which goes against the laws in this nation.”
