He said one simply has to provide the name, identity card number, telephone number of the arrested person and the police station he or she is held.
“One has to send a SMS to one of the numbers by providing the necessary information,” he said in a statement
The Bar is also sending a team to monitor participants and law enforcement agencies in action during the rally.
The monitoring team will be on the ground to observe that the right to assemble peacefully is promoted and facilitated.
Bersih 5 organisers have announced that the rally will take place in Kuala Lumpur from 10am to 6pm.
The electoral reform group also stressed that it had fulfilled all the requirements under the Peaceful Assembly Act to hold the rally which included giving police a 10-day notice period of the gathering.
