TAIPING: A goldsmith shop lost about RM1 million when it was broken into by four men early this morning.
Taiping police chief ACP Harrith Kam Abdullah believed the break-in took place between midnight and 7am.
The suspects broke into the vault of the shop that stored gold and cash before carting them away.
“Investigations showed the suspects entered the shop from the roof and used tools to pry open the vault at the premises,” he said in a statement here today.
According to Harrith Kam, the owners of the shop only realised that their shop had been broken in when they came to open the shop at 10am today.
